Southeast Asia Healthcare Market Growing

Southeast Asia (SEA) investment in healthcare is increasing at high speed. Several factors are contributing to this trend. Economic prosperity, aging population, and the growing middle income population are some of the key drivers.

The economic development in SEA has led to a higher demand for private healthcare from those willing to pay for it. As a result, healthcare spending is quickly growing in an effort of the governments to upgrade the infrastructure.

Chronic diseases are also on the rise with the modern lifestyle and aging population. About 70% of disease burden in the region is due to chronic diseases. They will directly impact the demand for access to healthcare.

Far UV-C for Disinfection Demands in Healthcare

The application of UV radiation in the health-care environment has been limited to destroy airborne organisms or microorganisms on surfaces of unoccupied spaces.

After the COVID pandemic, hygiene procedures have become more exhaustive, in particular in hospitals and clinics. Hand sanitisers, tissues, and masks are available now in these settings as a common practice.

Governments worldwide are exploring further options to improve the hygiene of their public spaces and reduce risk on infections. Far UV-C has been the technology chosen already by many experts to control spread of viruses and bacteria.

UV Medico has installed UV222 lamps in different hospitals with excellent results. To read more about this, click here.

Our Experience in Singapore

We traveled to Singapore to present our portfolio of Far UV-C solutions. Our company stand was located in the Danish Pavilion, where we had the opportunity to interact with managers within the health sector from several countries, all with the same objective: increase the disinfection level of their premises and the safety of their patients. After three days of exhibition, our experience concluded very positively. We could increase awareness about our mission and the multiple applications of our products in healthcare settings.
