UV222 Wall
The UV222 Wall applies filtered 222 nm Far-UVC to gowned personnel at a cleanroom entry point, in a 20-second touch-free cycle from a single emitter plane mounted flat against an existing wall. Every unit is specified to the entry point it serves.
Far-UVC personnel decontamination at cleanroom entry points
Cleanrooms are spaces with a controlled level of contamination, designed to limit microbiological contamination where it represents a risk to product quality, to patients or to consumers. Personnel are one of the principal routes by which that contamination enters, and the moment of entry — after gowning, before crossing into the classified area — is where an additional decontamination step can be added without changing anything upstream.
The UV222 Wall applies filtered 222 nm Far-UVC to gowned personnel at that point. Using Far-UVC, which is designed for use in occupied spaces, the UV222 Wall runs a 20-second cycle with a touch-free operating interface and built-in safety parameters.
The UV222 Wall mounts flat against an existing wall and operators stand in front of it on floor markings, so it can usually sit in circulation space rather than on production floor. That matters most in brownfield projects — installations into a facility that is already built and running, where contamination control cannot be designed into the layout as it would be in a greenfield build. Where the layout is fixed and every square metre competes with process equipment, a wall-mounted format is often what makes an added decontamination step possible at all.
The wall-mounted format also presents a single plane to the room rather than an enclosure, and leaves sightlines and personnel flow through the room unchanged.
Key Features:
-
Filtered Far-UVC Technology (222 nm): Continuous microbial reduction in occupied spaces. when installed and commissioned to the applicable exposure limits. No chemicals, no residues.
-
Operating status indication: indicates its state through an integrated status light, signalling ready, starting, in use, complete or fault through colour and audio simultaneously. The indication is readable at a glance by an operator in full gowning, without a display, a touchscreen or a handset. Adhesive labels are avoided, which suits classified areas where every surface has to stay smooth, cleanable and non-shedding.
-
Touch-free activation: Activation of the UV222 Wall is entirely touch-free. The operator hovers a hand over the START module for two seconds to begin the cycle, and stopping works the same way. Nothing is touched at any point in the cycle, on a route where contact points are precisely what the gowning protocol exists to eliminate. An emergency stop is available for service and cleaning.
-
20-second decontamination cycle: For an operator entering the cleanroom, the UV222 Wall adds 20 seconds to the entry routine. Step onto the floor markings, hover a hand over the sensor, wait for the countdown bar, and walk in. There is no contact with the unit at any point.

The UV222 Wall mounts to an existing wall and needs no floor structure, so it can be added to a cleanroom entry point without altering the layout. It shares the emitter architecture and control system of the UV222 Booth, which keeps the construction flexible and delivery times short. All surfaces are accessible for routine cleaning.
Every installation is specified to the room it goes into: mounting position, floor markings, and an installation-specific exposure assessment carried out with the protective equipment actually in use at the site.

Combatting Mold with Advanced Far-UVC Solutions
Mold spores can compromise indoor air quality, triggering a range of health issues from severe allergic reactions to life-threatening infections, particularly in hospital environments. Our latest research reveals that intermittent, low-dose applications of UV222 are surprisingly effective in halting mold growth, ensuring cleaner air while maintaining safe environments for human presence. This innovative approach not only aligns with real-world usage but also opens new frontiers for maintaining health standards in medical facilities and beyond.
