UV222 Booth: Revolutionizing Cleanroom Decontamination
The UV222 Booth has been designed specifically
for eliminating microbial contamination on personal protective equipment
(PPE) before entering cleanrooms or other working environments that must
be kept free of microbial pathogens
-
Human-Safe Far UV-C Technology
Utilizes Far UV-C light at 222 nm, proven safe for human exposure, enabling continuous decontamination without evacuating the space.
-
Rapid Decontamination
Completes a full disinfection cycle in under 30 seconds, significantly reducing the microbial bioburden and minimizing downtime in critical environments.
-
Customizable Solutions
Offers flexibility in design to integrate seamlessly into various cleanroom layouts, with options for standalone or fully integrated installations.
-
Infection prevention and protection of vulnerable patients
The Far UV-C technology provided by UV Medico is of particular relevance in hospital units for patients highly susceptible to infection. This includes neonatal care units, ICUs, and departments of hematology and oncology.
Far-UVC and Cleanroom Contamination Control Strategies
UV Medico products decontaminate using 222nm. Unlike conventional UVC lamps, which typically emit light at 254 nm, Far-UVC's unique properties make them particularly attractive for use in occupied spaces. The germicidal effect of ultraviolet light stems from its ability to inactivate microorganisms by damaging their nucleic acids. Far-UVC at 222 nm operates on a similar principle
Cleanroom challenges
Keeping cleanrooms decontaminated is essential for many industries, including pharmaceuticals, electronics, and healthcare. These highly controlled environments must maintain a high level of cleanliness to prevent contamination that can compromise product quality and safety.
Contamination Control: Cleanrooms must maintain stringent cleanliness to prevent contamination affecting product quality and safety.
Human Activity Impact: Over 80% of the contaminants present in cleanrooms can be directly linked to personnel. Simply training operators on proper behavior is insufficient to eliminate environmental deviations.
Environmental Bioburden: Managing microbial load is critical to avoid contamination risks.
Airflow and Particulate Control: Ensuring efficient air filtration and minimizing human-induced particulate dispersion is essential.
