UV Medico is looking for a Product Specialist and technical support. You will have a critical role in supporting our many distributors and clients around the world, and play a crucial part in accelerating a global growth of the company.

Your main tasks will include:

The company:
UV Medico has the overarching goal of reducing the spread of infectious diseases using human-safe Far UV-C light. UV Medico is currently involved in collaborations with both companies and research groups at universities and hospitals in Denmark, Tanzania, Germany, UK, Belgium, Thailand and more to develop the Far UV-C technology with the purpose of limiting the spread of infection caused by pathogenic viruses, insect vectors, and bacteria. Traditional ultraviolet (UV) light sources that emit at 254 nm are well known and widely used for cleaning and sterilization. However, this wavelength, together with other large areas of the UV spectrum, is harmful to humans through the induction of DNA damage. UV Medico is based on a new technology that allows the manufacturing of light sources that are effective against infectious pathogens while being safe for humans. These lamps emit light in a narrow wavelength band centered at 222 nm placed in the Far UV-C spectrum and can safely be used to reduce transmission of SARS-CoV2 and other pathogens in occupied spaces.

UV Medico is a high-tech company developing cutting edge solutions in the Far UV-C light spectrum. Our mission is to fight the spread of infectious diseases by inactivating viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. We provide safer spaces by integrating our solutions seamlessly in businesses’ activities. Our signature filtered excimer lamp, UV222™, has been developed for the continuous disinfection of occupied spaces, and now it is distributed in more than 20 countries.

We’re looking for an experienced Business Developer & Area Sales Manager to drive the company’s future commercial success. You will play a key role in the growth of UV Medico by driving our global market development, creating new business cases, and effectively turning them into sales.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Presenting UV Medico to potential clients and follow up with analysis and feedback
  • Support the existing distribution network in identifying and proposing new business opportunities
  • Create a sales pipeline
  • Identify the needs and challenges of prospective customers
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Research and analyse market trends and customer behaviour
  • Carry out sales forecasts and analysis
  • Communicate results to management
  • Support campaign and promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department

Who you are:

  • Have the ability to think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • Minimum two years of professional B2B experience with a successful sales goal track record
  • Have experience with CRM software and project management
  • Familiar with business processes and international-minded
  • Experience in Medical or Healthcare industry would be a plus but not a must
  • Have excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Willing to travel when necessary
  • Able to deliver engaging presentations
  • Can work structurally and independently
  • Have an open mind and are team-spirited
  • Self-motivated and able to set your own goals
  • Can adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially with MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Danish both verbally and in writing. Additional language would be an asset
